With many of the front sight requirements becoming less restrictive, competitive cowboy shooters are replacing their thin, factory front sights with wide, easy-to-see sight blades. This jig aligns and locks the front sight blade in position during the critical step of soldering. The slotted, aluminum jig base attaches to the top strap with a set screw. 1/4" thick, steel, alignment bar features a small clamping block to retain the blade at the correct angle and provides a full, 14" of adjustment for precise sight placement on any length barrel. It is best to be used with the Power Custom Ruger Single Action Vaquero/Black Hawk Trigger. The factory trigger may be altered as per detailed instructions. Using the Power Custom Black Hawk trigger, the trigger pull will weigh about 2 1/4lbs with the Wolff reduced power spring kit and approx. 3 to 31/4 lbs with the factory springs. Requires minor modification to the transfer bar to allow the gate to be opened when on half cock. The rear of the hammer radius is larger then the BlackHawk/Vaquero Hammers. This fills in the big gap that is at the rear of the hammer at the top of the back strap of the factory Revolver.
