I've been using these hammers for several years in my Vaqueros for Cowboy Action competition. The lower hammers are fantastic, especially for one-handed Deulist/Gunfighter categories, and the half-cock feature is a major time saver when on the clock... Thanks to the half-cock, a round isn't skipped over due to a hammer slip, so, a hammer slip now can be recovered in about 1/2 second, opposed to several seconds playing "'round the ruger" trying to find the skipped round.
